We are a family-run business driven by a passion to keep the traditional pub alive. Founded by Josh and Andy, our promise is simple- a proper pub serving wholesome, traditional food alongside good-quality drinks. Since forming in 2021, the group has grown to include more family and friends, and while the industry faces challenges, our message remains the same. Whether you're stopping by for a pint or bringing the family for a Sunday roast, we offer a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere built around simple pleasures.

At The Black Horse, our kitchen is led by Head Chef Ludi, who brings years of professional experience and makes food to a Michellen star level. Using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, the menu features classic pub favourites alongside carefully crafted seasonal specials.

There’s always something going on at The Black Horse. Each month we host bingo, karaoke, and quiz nights, bringing the local community together for fun, friendly evenings.
Alongside our regular events, we also run special nights throughout the month, including live music and comedy events.
Cycling Route
The Black Horse is the perfect stop for cyclists. We offer a spacious car park where you’re welcome to park and set off on your ride - just pop in for a drink or some food before or after your route. We also provide bike stands and a handy cycle care package to keep you and your bike looked after.
Camping
Staying a little longer? Our campsite is open from March and is ideal for short breaks.
- Pop-up tents: £10 per night, per pitch
- Static vans: £20 per night, per pitch (gravel area only, to help protect our field)
Private Venue Hire
Looking for the perfect place to host your next party, birthday celebration, or wake? Our pub offers a welcoming and flexible space ideal for bringing people together, whatever the occasion. Venue hire is free with a deposit, making it a simple and stress-free option – you’ll just need to cover staffing costs and security if required. With a friendly atmosphere, great food and drink, and a team on hand to help your event run smoothly, we’re proud to offer a space where memories can be shared and occasions celebrated properly.
